The Big Thunder Amateur Radio Club (BTARC) invites you to Field Day — a 24 hour communication marathon. Local "hams" will be demonstrating amateur radio operations under simulated emergency conditions from 1 PM Saturday to 1 PM Sunday. Field Day is a serious test of skill and a contest for fun, too! Local hams will rack up points as they try to contact as many other Field Day stations across the country as possible.
The BTARC Field Day radio stations can be observed in action at Edwards Park in Poplar Grove. The park is located just north of Route 173 on Route 76. Please contact Paul Larsen 815 (547-4899) or info@wa9gwm.org for further information. |
