Eagle Watch - , 7:30 am - 6:30 pm.- Hosted by the Boone County Conservation District. Join us for a day of eagle watching along the Illinois River at Starved Rock. Memorial Day Parade - May 31st 2010- Belvidere, IL. Parade steps off at 9:30am It will proceed from city parking lot to State Street to the bridge for a brief wreath & rifle squad ceremony then proceed down State Street to Big Thunder Park. There will be a luncheon offered at the American Legion Post 77 at Noon and a supper at 5:00pm at the V.F.W. Post 1461 for Veterans and their Families Only. The Big Thunder Amateur Radio Club (BTARC) Field Day Sat. June 2011 - This is event is at Edwards Park in Poplar Grove, located just north of Rte 173 on Rte 76. A 24-hr communications marathon. Local "Hams" will be demonstrating amateur radio operations under simulated emergency conditions from 1:00 pm Saturday until 1:00 pm on Sunday.
